Future Cadillac Coupes video.
This short video shows what a new 2 door Cadillac coupe could look like. Something we might never see again. Cadillac is indeed working on a couple of Ultium-based new sedans. But we haven’t heard anything about a new 2-door Cadillac coming out anytime soon. Unless the Solei concept makes it into production. Which would cost an insane amount of money since it would slot above the $340,000 Celestiq.
The video shows a few ideas for a 2-door coupe, and even the return of a convertible. Something impressive but far cheaper than a production version of the Solei would be.
For many decades, the 2-door coupe was Cadillac’s most popular body style. With the Eldorado as well as the Coupe De Ville. Which was, for years, more popular than its Sedan De Ville 4-door twin. That eventually changed. And now even their sedans aren’t as popular as their SUVs.
Cadillac still sold almost 15,000 units of the CT5 last year. Which isn’t as bad as it could be. The CT5 will soon be replaced by one of the new EV sedans.
It would be nice to also see something a bit sleeker, with just 2 doors…
