Volvo V60 Test Drive video.

This is a short video of my 2-day drive with a Volvo V60 Cross Country. The Cross Country is the slightly raised and AWD version of the Volvo V60 wagon. And the only version of the wagon available in the US, at a starting price of around $55,000.

The current Volvo V60 came out in 2018 and still looks great. The AWD version I drove is powered by a Turbo 2.0 Liter mild hybrid engine with 247HP. Which is plenty. The engine is pretty smooth and mostly quiet.

The ride is always very smooth and comfortable, and the steering feel is very pleasant.

This is basically a very nice car to drive. The Volvo‘s interior is also still one of the best around. With quality materials all around. The screen is great and angled towards the driver. And everything still feels very modern and quite upscale in there.

My short road trip took me to the California/Nevada desert, and I didn’t get any idea of the city MPG. But it averaged over 32MPG on the highway, which is a bit better than the official 31 MPG number.

The main drawback for me was the driver’s seat. While it is still mostly comfortable in a “very” firm way, the headrest is just a pain. Literally. It is so far back that you can never rest your head on it. And it’s not adjustable forward. This alone made the long drives very painful and something that would make me avoid purchasing the Volvo V60.

Just sit back and enjoy the short video above. Where you can see the car in action, and listen to my endless and uninteresting rambling about anything except the car itself…
