2027 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Last Updated:

I remember seeing the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe at the Los Angeles Auto Show just a couple of years ago. I was really looking forward to seeing it in person since I thought it looked great in pictures.

Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. It just looked OK in the flesh. A lot of black trim and weird details made it look a bit awkward. And the interior seems only nice in the top-of-the-line trim. It just wasn’t that great after all.

It seems I wasn’t the only one to think that way, since sales of the redesigned version have been disappointing so far. I guess Hyundai noticed it pretty quickly and started working on a pretty serious facelift for the mid-cycle refresh.

The illustrations above show completely redesigned front and rear ends. We haven’t seen anything about the interior yet but that has probably been updated as well. One of the main changes could be be using vertival lights above the rear bumpers. Something that would seem obvious to many, but somehow, Kia and Hyundai still have a few models (Like the Kia Niro) that use tiny, and very low rear lights that aren’t visible if you’re to close to the car.

Powertrains are not expected to change for the Santa Fe. it will be intersting to see if the visial changes affect sales of not. Or if it’s just too little too late for the current generation…

  1. I remember when the Santa Fe use to be a stylish 5 seater. Now it’s just another ugly box on wheels. Too bad.

  2. Why on earth is Hyundai pushing 5 new SUVs in the same 2026 year? The Execlio, Tuscan, Palisade, Venue and facelifted Santa Fe. So when will the cusumers get a discount on the SUVs if every vehicle is either redesigned or facelifted? And the changes on the facelift is even uglier.
