New Porsche Cayenne looks like a Porsche.

I know it sounds obvious, but these days, it’s not. With so many car designs looking like they could be from anyone, it’s great to see one that looks 100% like it should. The new 2027 Cayenne Electric could only be a Porsche.
Of course, the Turbo trim has a crazy 1156HP. Porsche describes it as the most powerful production Porsche of all time. And a range of over 400 miles in the European test cycle. While the base model comes with a more reasonable 408HP.
The new Cayenne also offers “remote” charging with an available giant charging pad. Something like this seems like a gimmick to me. I’ve never heard anyone complaining about the 4 to 6 seconds it takes to plug your EV at home through a standard plug…
The wheelbase of the new EV is about 5 inches longer. That means a lot more legroom for rear passengers when compared to the gas models.
The least expensive trim starts at $111,000. While the crazy Turbo version is priced at $165,000. The current gas Porsche Cayenne starts at $91,000. It seems that Porsche has decided the EV versions of their popular models are worth about $20,000 more. Which is what they’ve been charging for the Macan EV. In some places, the Electric Macan has been selling better than the much cheaper gas model. That proves that price is really not a concern for most Porsche buyers. And the new Cayenne shoul do quite well for the brand…
The new Cayenne EV hs pretty late, but still looks very good. And again, just like it should. Porsche has played it very safe with the new design. inside and out. And who can blame them…
