Interesting. Of course the most lethal part of the car was yet to come: the distractions of technology: from equalized stereos to cell phones to Nav system maps to take our eyes off the road at 70 MPH. And even with all of our advancements in crumple zones, airbags, stability control & ABS; the realities of physics are still there to kill & maim. When any thing traveling over 35 MPG touches another thing at an impact speed of 35 MPH+…. people DIE. It doesn't require 65 or 70 MPH, not even in a 2017 Volvo or Mercedes or Cadillac Escalade EXT.
