2014 Callaway AeroWagon
Last Updated:
Yes, this is real and it looks great.
Basically replacing the rear hatch with a wagon style. All for about $15 000 on top of the price of the 2014 Corvette.
I think it’s a great idea.
Here is the official word from Callaway:
“Callaway plans to manufacture the body package providing an openable hatch that would result in a unique style and increased interior space, positioning the Corvette in the elite class of two door shooting brakes.
Callaway’s AeroWagon body will be manufactured in their proprietary RTM process for structural carbon parts. The KRTM (Krämer Resin Transfer Molding) process produces load carrying carbon parts in one swift molding step.
Fitted to the Callaway version of the C7 Corvette, the Callaway AeroWagon is projected to be a 200+ mph automobile while still returning the highest mileage rating in the supercar segment.
Based on market reaction, Callaway plans to produce the conversions coincident with the release of production C7 Corvettes this Fall. The AeroWagon option is projected to be under $15,000 and available through Callaway Dealers nationwide.”e.
Simply Stunning… The 2014 'Stingray' is already one of the best sportscar designs to come along in decades, with this mod it's also one of the most striking/exotic and useful.
Very Nice!
Looks like the poor man's Ferrari FF, love it in silver, but they should really work on their image editing skills, that dark gray one has really turned a lot of people off, and unnecessarily so. It's a bad angle, a bad color, and just poorly done. Anyways… it is a very long car, it has too much ass, having the callaway look extend the greenhouse makes it a more proportional design, and very very handsome.
I wish this was LESS of a Nissan Pulsar, Isuzu Impulse, Geo Storm wagon-ish conversion, and MORE of an Aston Martin shooting brake.
I do like the idea, just NOT this execution!
The styling similarities between the Ferrari 599 and Corvette become more obvious with the shooting brake roofline.. now it looks just like the FF. Not that I'm complaining…
It just seems like an answer to a question no one asked, yet looks good regardless.
Can't appreciate anything about the new corvette styling. Awful.
