Opel Adam
Last Updated:
Finally official pictures of the smallest Opel model so far;
It looks really cute. Although I still think it is trying very hard. Again, it is tough to compete with retro designs like the Fiat 500 as far as personality goes..
Engines offered include a 1.2 Liter with 75hp; Or 2 versions of a larger 1.4 Liter with 87 or 100 hp.
This is one Opel that will not end up as a Buick…..
GM serves-up an awkward copy of everyone else's design from five years ago…
How is this news? They were doing this for thirty years until they finally went bankrupt, and they are doing it again post-bankruptcy. No doubt it's also less reliable and less fun to drive than the competition.
Though it's little more than a 'me too' response to the Fiat 500 and Mini, for some reason… I knda like it.
It'd be interesting if they brought it to the US as an (entry-level) Buick City Car.
I think it looks great! Too bad it won't be coming here! I hope that steering wheel makes it in some way though!
I disagree. I think it looks great, and would be perfect for that cute-car demo. Why not Buick? They've had fun cars in the past.
Looks really good. I don't care if they weren't the first at it. Everyone is making cars like this now, and GM should too. This is definitely better than any of the crap from Asia. And I like it much better than the Fiat 500.
It's perfect for Buick.. that retro chrome window/pillar outline frame could easily accomodate a vinyl landau roof!
Buick would be smart to bring this to the US! America doesn't get the A1, DS3, or other cool "designer hatchbacks" like Europe does. Plus, bringing this car to the states would either scare all the old people out of the showroom or at least get them out of their massive old Roadmasters and whatnot. Is GM blind to the massive popularity of hatchbacks like the EK-series Civic or Scion xB amongst young people??
If you think it looks cool and like a A1…
Good luck with that.
Yeah, yellow!
American GM brands are too butch to sell this car.
