More pictures of the all new 2012 Lexus GS

I still can’t get used to the design. Maybe it is one of these cars that looks better in the flesh. Or something…

But the interior seems pretty upscale. Even though it doesn’t have much personality.

So far, I still prefer the current one.

  1. I can't believe how much "ES" treatment this design got: The headlights, the foglights, the c-pillar, the trunk garnish, the corners of the taillights, even the wheels!!
As a current ES350 owner, I take this design as a complimentary nod.

  2. Another anonymous Lexus vehicle. No style, even looks like the new Maxima. After seeing the new Cadillac Ciel concept, this GS makes it hard for me not to fall asleep looking at it.

  3. I have to agree with "Unknown". This looks like it would have been a decent replacement for the ES. As a 5 series competitor, forget it, even if it undercuts the BMW's price.

  4. Would be an appropriate replacement for the Avalon. But a luxury car, no way. The wheels are nice though, and I do like the interior… minus some of the parts bin Toyota switches.

  5. I would be more than happy for Toyota to replace the scaling with this and call it Cressida, but the floaty boaty giant yacht has already been established as the new home for former Buick owners…so I can see it styaing around for another couple decades.

  6. Okay.

Lexus must know something we don't. Because for the life of me I don't understand why they think this car looks appealing. It'd better drive like stink…

  7. looking more like a 5 series everyday……Lexus like its' mother Toyota, continue to be years behind all other brands in regards to design. This is just boring. Instead of standing out of the crowd it's lost in the crowd. As they say in casting, NEXT!

  8. 2006 IS + 2007 ES + 2004 Audi grille + "H" shaped motif + more focus groups than one can shake a stick at = 2012 (!?!?) GS.

Someone's going to make a few dollars selling body kits for the previous-gen Hyundai Sonata.
