2012 Toyota Camry
Last Updated:
Hidden behind one of the weirdest camouflage I have ever seen.
Don’t expect anything drastic though. I really don’t think the new Camry will try to push the envelope like the recent Kia and Hyundai models.
They are, instead, focusing on keeping the hundreds of thousands who keep buying Camrys year after year.
Competing more with the 2012 Malibu.
No matter what people say about it, the Camry is still a big hit for Toyota. So no big surprises for the next one.
Toyota's philosophy: "Dont scare the sheep!"
Cause the sheep don't know the accelerator from the brake.
Anything will be an improvement over the current car !
Okay.
And the Stepford wives stare blankly with joy.
What is the point of this photo? To dump on the current model?
Wonder if that extra box might actually be hiding the next Venza?
All they really need to do is make it handle a bit better…Otherwise it is a fine car. I am sure they will make the front goofy/stupid looking though.
I have grown to hate the name CAM-WRY. I really don't think I'll ever be able to own one, or any Toyota for that matter. Toyota has become the new Hyundai. And Hyundai/GM/Nissan and Kia have become the new Toyota.
Thank-you Toyota for deciding to test upcoming models with absolutely no camouflage. I see you're trying for a more angular look. Looks like a great improvement over current models!
The previous posters are just jealous that their favored brand of vehicle isnt as popular and hasnt sold as well as the Camry.
Its funny the length they go to, to disguise how ordinary the car will look

O Contrar; My favorite brand of wine doesn't sell like Wall-Mart Wine either, but it really doesn't bother me much. As long as Cads, Jeeps, Jags, Chryslers, Astons & Masaratti's are availabe to me–I'm one happy camper! I don't judge your taste for a big mac in the front seat of a Camry any more than I judge the dog who eats his own poop. Whatever thrills you!
The Camry is still one of the nicer vehicles in its segment. There are a lot of tweaks they could make in terms of design to improve upon it, though.
Hopefully it will remain a conservative-looking car; there's definitely a market for car buyers who don't go for the "fashion forward" model.
I always enjoy seeing what car companies do on their more practical, higher volume vehicles. It seems more relevant and interesting than what they try out for a concept car that never reaches production, or a "halo" car that sells a few thousand units.
Oh a Camry Hearse
Toyota might as well leave the box on it because you know its going to look terrible just like their other sedans.
It will sell like crazy no matter what anyone says. The non covered bits look good though.
i just can't stand camries…ugh

That's the problem with the whole segment. Tons of 'nice" generic cars. A complete lack of anything inspired, eclectic, impressive, outstanding, unique, sexy, or even… desireable! Yea, Camry fits right in. Fills the hole left when Rambler, Omega, and Topaz dissappeared.
You know a car is a threat when all the fanboys come on and dis it. The Camry has been a great success for Toyota and that ticks the others off.
Sorry guys…….
