At least on these pictures, it looks as good as any other hatchback from anywhere.
This should help Kia a lot in Europe.
Over here, it looks much better than the larger Forte hatchback that just came out.
Even if it is one size smaller.
I bet this will find a lot of takers against the Fiesta in the US.
A 3 door version comes out next year, at least in Europe.

I like how it looks like a kia, but the styling isn't wholly derivative of other models in their lineup.
Love the unique rising accent line, and continuation of the look Kia's been pushing lately. Nice little car. Big improvement from the other Rio.

they should have copied the 1st gen Milan's front … like they did with the tail lights
Looks nicely aggressive for such a small vehicle… Another winner from Kia/Hyundai.
Wow! Who could have said Kia was going to design a car like this 5 years ago. Looks like a legit Fiesta competitor. It should surely find sales traction here in America.

Other magazines claim no significant mechanical changes for the US this year — for me, that's a fail for noew.

Really? All the studies I've seen shows Hyundai as one of the better automakers. My mom had a Hyundai Accent with over 140,000 miles. She didn't even take care of it that well. I'm starting to see a lot of older Hyundai's now to. I don't agree with your opinion there dude.
Hyundai IS what Toyota & Honda once WERE (and no longer are).
Small, inexpensive, decent design, fuel efficent, safe. A good value.
