2013 Porsche Cajun
Last Updated:
This is, so far, just an illustration.
But there will be a smaller Porsche SUV called Cajun coming out within the next 2 years.
It is rumored to be a 2 door and powered by a twinturbo 3.0 Liter V6 good for about 350hp.
I am sure they will eventually offer a 4 door version, if they want to sell any…
Not sure what size this will be, or how small. But it could be competing with the new Land rover Evoque, which will also be available with 2 or 4 doors.
I like it! It would give the Evoque some competition as well as the upcoming BMW X4. I remember when the Cayenne came out critics ripped it apart, doubted that it would sell, and said it was horrible…..but hey its Porsches best sellling model now. I see the Cajun carrying that tourch but if they try to make the Cajun a 4-door it will still sells from the Cayenne. It should remain a 2 door model.
Dr.Porsche is rolling over in his grave.
You have got to be kidding me!!! I can definetly see a 4 door but a 2 door….. NO WAY!!!
I really like it. The Cayennes face seems to work better on a smaller dimension vehicle. Hope they do it.
See – this would be perfect for me. I like the ride position in an SUV (bad back), but I don't need a large one (just me and the dogs). But I don't like any of the "small" SUVs, probably because they try to cram in two extra doors. Unfortunately, that Porsche logo will cost about $15,000 extra. Not sure it will be worth it.
An incorrect answer to a question nobody was asking.
This seems like moving the brand downmarket…
Since it is really just a 3-door hatchaback; Truth-in-Advertising laws in the US will force Porsche to re-name it "Oatmeal" here–instread of Cajun.
Clearly this promised car is not that interesting to everyone. It will handle clearly well.
^^ I *Love* oatmeal 😀
&
this lil' thing is darn cute!!!
maybe instead of 2 rege doors it could have 2+2 doors like the RX-8?
The problem with this (other than the useless 3-door configuration) is that it appears to be based on a FWD VW/Audi platform.. a sacrilege. Plus it looks too much like a jacked-up Volvo C30.
juke size!
Is it built on a Hyundai chassis?
I just drove an AWD 6-Speed Nissan Juke, DIG Turbo, WOW! What a Blast!
Hey Dede, I know me too, That Juke is Incredible. Only thing is it needs a centre armrest, other than that… Perfection Granted at that Price point. ….and By the Way, Dr. Ferry would love this because his cars were small and nimble and light, not like the pigs they put out today. Also, when he came out with that original design waaaaay back it WAS innovative. Today, it's repetitive.
