Chevrolet Cruze Turbo
Last Updated:
There is already a turbo engine available on the Cruze, the small 1.4 Liter.
But this sportier “Turbo” model uses a larger 1.6 Liter with 170 hp instead of 140.
And so far, it is for China only. Where the 1.6 Liter Turbo is already used in the Buick Excelle.
I say bring over the good looking Cruze hatchback and squeeze the 220hp 2.0 Liter Turbo into it.
That would be a real “Turbo Cruze”.
we can only hope that the blue dash trim is also not destined for these shores…
Oh look, it's the Cruze SS that we won't get for another 3 years….after the rest of the world sees the refresh while NA gets the leftovers.
220hp for a "Turbo Cruze"?
Correction, 220hp for a "Cruze SS".
How 'bout that.
Anyone else notice the small black plastic panel in front of the C pillar that we have all crucified the Chrysler Sebring for having?
I gotta admit, this car is growing on me.
Yeah, I agree, they can keep that cheesey black and blue dash. In general though, I do like this car a lot. My only beefs with it is that aweful c pillar and that there's no direct injection. If there was direct injection they could probably make a smaller displacement engine and probably kick out the same power with even better fuel efficiency. AND BRING A HATCHBACK TO THE USA!!!
Yes, bring over the Cruze hatchback, GM!
Why 220 hp in a "Turbo Cruze/Cruze SS" when the Cobalt SS had 260 hp??
I don't want anything below that!!
BTW, the 170 hp Turbo 1.6L would make a nice Aveo SS…
Weak engines for weak people.
A normal 2.0L should be minimum for America.
I gotta admit. The Cruze is a darn nice car. And this dash–even in blue– looks a heck of a lot better than the competition from Accord or Camry
That is a boring vehicle, why bother?
The black c pillar doesn't bother me — at least it's somewhat origional — but that blacked-out B pillar has been done so many times on so many cars — ENOUGH WITH THE FAKEY BLACKED-OUT B PILLAR ALREADY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cruze T ????
sholdn't that be
"La Cruzet"?
Daewoo anyone??
The outside is nice. better than most in this segment, but not quite #1.
But the ice-blue dash with matte black surround and frosty stainless trim looks like something out of an Acura Flagship. An unbelieveable amount of style for a sub-$25k midsize.
