2011 Buick Regal prices
Last Updated:
The all new 2011 Buick Regal will start at $27 000.
Exactly the same price GM announced earlier for the 2.4 Liter Lacrosse CX.
Same engine but a larger car.
Although the $27 000 Regal is a mid level CXL.
A cheaper CX will be available later.
I really liked the Regal when I sat in it, but the Lacrosse interior is much better.
Sure, the larger Lacrosse with the same engine would be slower. But still.
I guess the Regal CXL comes with more standard features too, than the base Lacrosse CX.
(The Lacrosse CXL is actually about $3000 more)
We’ll see how that works out for GM.
Here is their official word:
“Buick today announced pricing for the all-new 2011 Regal. Prices start at $26,995 for the premium CXL model, including a $750 destination charge.
Regal’s CXL turbo model will start at $29,495, including a $750 destination charge.
Looks like an A6 with a Buick grill. I like it.
Yawn.
I'd rather have a TSX which is produced by a quality company that doesn't steal our taxpayers money. It also will be more reliable and worth more down the road.
If you want to make a point to buy American, buy a Ford.
$27k for a mid-size, base American car?
I'll pass.
2K 2 much !!!
You'll be able to get the turbo and the AWD with the CXL making for a more affordable version of the GS. You can retune the ecu and get more power too. I agree with Vince that the interior of the LaCrosse is much better. I don't think that the ambience lighting will be available in the Regal either….too bad. I may be wrong though.
Too much overlap. Why get a base LaCrosse when one can get a well equipped Regal? Not like the trunk is any bigger either.

Though its a nice looking car, these american cars are built like garbage! Americans want other Americans to buy American vehicles, then BUILD QUALITY CARS! Compare two Japanese cars, Acura TSX and Acura TL. The TSX is built in Japan and holds up AMAZINGLY. The TL is built in Ohio I believe. Having had both cars I will say the TL got returned early under the lemon law.
If you can get a loaded one for around 30K, it'll sell like crazy. So what if the high-end Regal enters the same pricing space as the low-end LaCrosse? So what is there is a slight overlap with their models? That's typical of any properly tiered product mix. I know it sounds crazy, but no carmaker ever failed because they had TOO MANY good cars in their showroom.

Every manufacturer has its lemons.
I've had a few American built Hondas/Acuras and they were just as reliable as the Japanese models I owned.
