2009 Maxima prices

-$29 290 for the S.
-$31 990 for the SV.
Both come with the 3.5 Liter V6 and CVT.
EPA is 19/26. Good but not great. The “old” maxima was rated at 19/25. During a week drive a couple of years ago , I got about 15mpg in mostly city driving. And I never pushed the car.
It looks like a good deal compared to the infiniti G35. But is it compared to the competition?
i would rather have a CTS for a little tiny bit more
What competition? Seriously, you don’t think this is an accord or camry do you? The Altima already took care of them as the best ranked car in consumer reports.It’s in a league of it’s own baby!
I think the competition for this car would be the Toyota Avalon and/or Chevy Malibu. I think I read somewhere that Nissan thought the Maxima could be in the 5 series arena. As to the Altima its o.k. but I like the Accord or Toyota Camry SE more, I guess to each his own.
The only competition for this is the Avalon. Both of those vehicles are going to one day grow themselves right out of the market….especially with growing Altimas and Camrys. The Versa and Yaris are the new Sentra and Corolla of the times.
You deserve a Cadillac. If you can look at this and say that, enjoy your caddy.

You are kidding right? Only foolish bread and butter consumers take CR seriously. The Altima is junk. Take a look at a serious automotive magazine and see where they rank in comparisons and see waht the criticisms are.
