1942 Half Track.
Last Updated:
This is maybe the weirdest thing I have seen so far at a “Bring a Trailer” auction. And it was sold for $ 40,000.
It was built in 1942 as a Gun Motor Carriage and was converted to M2A1 during WW2. The fuel gauge doesn’t work and its mileage is listed as “unknown”.
Still, this might be the craziest truck you could buy for $ 40,000. And a piece of history for the price of a used truck. It has no registration since it is “intended for off-road only”. That means you’re out of luck for grocery shopping or picking up the kids from school, which is too bad since it has seating for 10.
At least, while parked in your driveway, it will send a strong and powerful message to your scared neighbors.
