We already know there is a revised Tesla Model Y on its way, code-named Juniper. These illustrations show us what it could look like.
And for the first time, they seem very close to the real thing. As they do match all the spy shots we have seen so far of the car. Except for the wheels which are straight from the revised Model 3 performance. The lights especially, the front and rear lights, are very close to the spy shots we saw in the past few months.
The Model Y will not be an all-new car. It will be similar to what Tesla did on the Model 3. Revised front and rear ends with a redesigned interior. One that will match the revised Model 3. With also a quite and smoother ride. There have also been rumors of a larger battery being available for an even longer range.
While not selling as well as last year, the Tesla Model Y is still a hugely popular car. It will be interesting to see how long. I am not sure the 2025 changes will be enough to keep the car fresh for that many years. Especially in China where there seems to be a new Model Y competitor every week or so.
There is also Elon Musk who is now more distracted than ever. And it seems the car business will be in his rearview mirror for a while. Running a car company is a full-time job.
