2026 Hyundai Palisade.

Last Updated:

Here are more, and especially better, photos of the new 2nd-generation Hyundai Palisade for 2026.

Of course, many will compare its design with an older generation Range Rover. Just like some were comparing the 2024 Santa Fe to the Land Rover Defender. However, that mostly disappears when you see the Hyundai Santa Fe in person. Which is a very different design. I guess all boxy designs will eventually remind some people of a Land Rover or Range Rover.

No matter what it reminds people of, I think the new Hyundai Palisade is a huge step forward from its predecessor. I never liked the original Palisade design and thought it looked old the day it came out. Unlike its cousin the Kia Telluride which seemed so much more modern outside. The new one looks much more cohesive and it seems the work of one team heading in the same direction. Instead of a bunch of designers each in charge of a small part of the car.

There is no info about the powertrain yet for the new Hyundai. But the latest rumors mentioned the big V6 to be totally replaced by a 2.5 Liter turbo 4 cylinder. With a new Hybrid option available as well.

Which is really too bad about the V6. It seems Honda will eventually be the last one to use the smooth and creamy 6-cylinder engine in their larger models.

Now let’s see what the new Kia Telluride will look like…

  1. I actually like it! I was very skeptical about it considering how repulsive Hyundai’s most recent CUV designs (Santa Fe and Ioniq 9) turned out. While the Santa Fe and Ioniq 9 have overdone and incohesive exterior designs, this new Palisade has a clean simplicity to it that serves as a refreshing counterpoint to Hyundai’s recent super busy exterior designs.

That being said, I think the first gen Palisade also had an attractive exterior design. I think its smoother edges effectively offset the boxy overall shape of the vehicle. I think it has aged well as the flagship vehicle of the Hyundai brand.

Overall, I’m happy to see that Hyundai can still design attractive vehicles (after the Santa Fe and Ioniq 9 debacles).

  2. So they went from GM to Range Rover styling. It is still a very nice-looking car but would I buy one would be another thought altogether.
