Jeep just unveiled a slightly less expensive version of their all-new Wagoneer S EV. Called the Limited.
At $67,000, it is $5000 cheaper than the Launch Edition we saw last year. Of course, it doesn’t come with the same standard equipment, but it’s pretty close. What you don’t get standard is mostly the McIntosh sound system and massaging seats. You also get 500HP instead of 600.
What it gets is new 20-inch wheels that look 100 times better than the ghastly black wheels on the Launch Edition. And the ridiculous passenger screen is an option. You still get AWD and everything else. Which all seems like a much better deal to me. You also get the choice of a very nice-looking grey interior instead of all black or that offensive black-and-red combo.
Currently, the Jeep Wagoneer Launch Edition is available for a $ 468-a-month lease with a $4500 down payment. Which, while not cheap, is a pretty good deal for a $72,000 car. There has also been a rumor of a much cheaper lease deal coming soon.
Currently, the best deal on the Jeep‘s cousin, the new Dodge Charger is an an incredible $299 a month with $4,500 down. That’s for the $61,000 R/T trim. Which is another excellent deal.
However, I can imagine a more affordable version of the Charger coming in a few months. Dodge had already mentioned not only the upcoming 4-door sedan but also a new single motor RWD version of the Charger. Which again could be a lot cheaper. And maybe that nice grey interior will be available on the Charger as well…
