Cadillac CT5 price.
Last Updated:
The all-new Cadillac CT5 will start at $37 890.
This is for the base 2.0 Liter Turbo model with 237HP.
The Premium Luxury model starts at $41 690 while the Sports is priced at $1000 more.
AWD is a $2600 option.
This is about $10 000 less than the current CTS sedan. Which is quite an amazing price reduction.
(For what probably is a very similar car underneath the new design)
Cadillac has finally seen the light and realizes they just cannot charge Mercedes and BMW prices.
This is a very good move.
The CTS was a very nice car. But didn’t really have such a price advantage against its European competition.
The CT5 wheelbase is slightly longer than the $54 000 Mercedes E-Class.
While about the same size.
The BMW 5 series is also as long as the CT5.
Same thing with the Audi A6.
While the CT5 is priced not only much cheaper than all of these.
But also thousands cheaper than base versions of the smaller Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3 series.
I think this is great news for Cadillac.
These prices are probably close to what they actually got for the CTS on the few sales that weren't leases. Now if they can only get people to hear about it.
Since Cadillac failed on it attempt to go after the German luxury brands, mostly BMW, I think the attempt tarnishes the brand name with the exception of the Escalade model in the buyers minds. Cadillac real hurt itself by alienating it core base which where the order small business owners, blue collar industry executives and their children. I think Cadillac does not have a core base anymore.
I don’t care how much cheaper it’s priced, I still would never consider buying such an ungainly looking vehicle. Major Fail, Cadillac! I would rather buy a fully loaded mainstream sedan that looks much more appealing than this badly proportioned and unsightly mess.
That is a very competitive price point. I just wonder what the standard equipment is going to be at that entry point. Hopefully the reliability will prove to be better than the CTS also.
Price cut is a brilliant move for Cadillac and should at least double CTS sales. Which means Cadillac midsize sedan volumes will skyrocket from microscopic to minuscule.
WoW! Maybe there is some hope after all with this car! Perhaps the CT4 will be starting at around 32k.

So, we're right back to where the CTS started–a 5-series sized car for less than the price of a 3-series. The circle of life.
"Cadillac real hurt itself by alienating it core base"
GM did the same thing with Oldsmobile. You'd think they'd learn.
They fixed one of their problems, pricing. Now if they give the Hyundai warranty, they are open for business. But, they still have to fix reliability issues.
This car design is copied on… Baojun RC, from China! GM take their cheap products as design benchmark for Cadillac! This is a SHAME! Cadillac is more than ever in deep sh**.
So which would you rather have: a fully loaded Mazda6 Signature or a base Cadillac CT5?
The problem is is that with crossovers being the volume models, sedans are now going to be the sporting option, the style option. And the CT5 is neither sporting or stylish.
Good thing the Impala and LaCrosse are going away, looks like the CT5 is aiming at their price point demographic!
