kias are for poor folk. no one affluent drives this stuff.
The "Truth is" that the real truth is that you didnt read this CORRECTLY …this is a Hyundai, not a Kia. And you wouldn't believe it but there several affluent people who purchase cheap compacts to save money so that they can keep the money they make.
The more I see of these the more they start looking goofy. These are cars made for poor people with infantile tastes.
I like the sedan quite a bit. This should be a looker too. Have to admit, I really don't want to buy a Korean car though.
If it looks like the current Elantra, this is going to obliterate the ugly, dull and poorly designed Civic Coupe completely. Honda just cant get it together anymore to make something worth owning.
I still want a 5-door version. I know there's still a small market for compact coupes, but I'm interested in buying a good looking compact 5-door hatchback. So far, there's nothing on the market in the U.S. that meets my needs or attracts my interest. I'm hoping Hyundai changes that in the future. I know they offer the current Elantra Touring, but that model doesn't have Hyundai's gorgeous new styling language. Come on Hyundai, give me the vehicle configuration of the new Elantra that I really want!
That being said, this should be one sweet looking compact coupe!

I think you meant Hyundai, as this is an Elantra and not a Kia.
The CFO of my company just traded in a Genesis 4.6 for an Equus. He is a millionaire many, many times over. Your theory is wrong.

Yeah, I can't think of a single person who would want a Civic which has the:
1. Best resale value in its class
2. Best reliability in its class according to JD Power, TrueDelta, and Consumer Reports.
3. Lowest TCO out of everything in its class.
4. Highest owner satisfaction in its class.
Look it up, don't be ignorant. If Honda made garbage that no one wanted, it wouldn't be one of the best sellers with all of the attributes listed above.
Its so funny how people still buy ininto a name and not quality. I have never been happy with any of my cars til i purchased a Hyundai. Most people i know who own them are in the same boat as me. Very happy and plan to purchased another.
Put a Civic Coupe and an Elantra next to each other. One looks like it was made in the 80's. Wanna take a guess which? No wonder people are running to other manufacturers like Hyundai.
Return of the anonymous multi-quoter spewing his 'I'm so much more informed than all of you' trolling. Yay!
Let's be honest, the Civic coupe is never going to die, and if it does, it will be a VERY slow, gradual death. This should provide a compelling second option, though, just like the Kia Forte Coup.
