This already looks really, really good.
The Polestar 3 will be unveiled officially in October. With sales following early next year. It will be built in the US. The top-of-the-line model is expected to get 372 miles range in the European test cycle. This could still mean around 340 in the US. Which is great and very competitive with the Tesla Model Y.
It is expected to be more expensive than the Volvo XC-90 replacement. (both models will share the same platform). The current XC-90 starts at around $51 000 in the US. Since the next generation will probably go up in price, the Polestar 3 could start at around $60 000. Which would still put it right against the Model Y.
It looks like the crazy price increases Tesla had in the past year will actually help its competition. Since the new Polestar won’t look that expensive.
