The unveiling of the new Zeekr 7X EV is another demonstration of the constant attack on the Tesla Model Y from the Chinese completion. It seems every day, there is a new Chinese EV trying to compete with the most popular Tesla.
And the new Zeekr 7X will be a formidable foe. It is just 2 inches longer than the Model Y and will be available with up to 637HP. It will also have an optional air suspension, something that isn’t available on the Tesla.
The price in its local market will start at around $33,000. Or about $1500 less than a Tesla Model Y over there.
We previously saw the Zeekr 07 sedan which was a very impressive car. The 07 and X7 are closely related and the 7X interior could be as nice as the one in the sedan.
Zeekr currently sells the Zeekr X in Europe. A smaller model is closely related to the Volvo EX30. While we will probably never see a car sold under the Zeekr brand over here, the future Volvo EX60 EV will be closely related to the 7X pictured above.
