Please join me and watch this short video showcasing the giant GMC Hummer pickup and SUV. At around 9000 pounds, these basically weigh the same as 3 Toyota Corollas. Of course, they’re EVs and do not release any engine polution while driving around. And yet, in a new modern way, they are as obnoxious as the old Hummer SUVs were.
They truly are the EV equivalent to the old Hummers from the 1990s. Except that now, they cost at least $100,000. I have to say, I’ve only seen a couple of these on the road since they came out. While I’ve already seen the new, even more expensive, Cadillac IQ driving around Beverly Hills the other day.
And still, I am actually quite curious and would really like to drive one around for a few days. It can’t be more annoying than a classic full-size pickup truck to drive around town. Or park anywhere. At least, they’re quiet. And these days, a GMC Yukon Denali V8 starts at over $103,000 anyway…
I thought that EV’s were supposed to be saving the planet (?) But I don’t think the Hummer is helping with that. It’s highly offensive.
