2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 pricing.
Last Updated:

The all-new Hyundai Ioniq 9 EV SUV was unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show last November. It took a while, but we finally know how much it will cost.
The base model will start at $58,900 before destination. The base RWD S trim is rated at a very impressive 335 miles of range. And all models of the new Ioniq 9 are rated at over 300 miles. The AWD Performance Limited trim with 422HP and 21-inch wheels is still rated at 311 miles of range. (That model starts at $72,850 including destination).
The top-of-the-line Calligraphy Design trim starts at $78,100, which is quite pricey and competes with the Rivian R1S and Volvo EX90. And also against the upcoming “cheaper” trim of the all-new Lucid Gravity. Which could be tough for the big Hyundai.
All models come with a standard NACS port and a CSS adapter.
I saw the new Hyundai Ioniq 9 at the Auto Show, and I have to admit I wasn’t as impressed as I expected. The interior is fine, but the wide screen is the same as in all current Hyundai/Kia/Genesis models, and isn’t as well integrated into the dashboard as in the new Palisade. I also thought the trim on the dash was really strange-looking and quite plasticky.
However, that could depend on various trims.
Here is the official price breakdown from Hyundai:

At first, it seems the Hyundai is more expensive than its closely related cousin, the Kia EV9. However, the cheaper RWD EV9 at $54,900 comes with a smaller 230-mile battery. You’ll have to step up to the $59,000 Long Range RWD model to get a larger battery and 304 miles of range. That means the Hyundai Ioniq 9 is actually cheaper and has an even longer range.
The Hyundai also has a very attractive design that most people might prefer over the Tonka Toy-like Kia EV9.
It will be interesting to see which one ends up more popular…
