2027 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Last Updated:

The Hyundai Santa Fe is already getting a pretty extensive mid-cycle refresh. The spy shots above already give us.
From what we can see inside, it seems the dashboard will get a pretty significant design change. One that will include Hyundai’s new PLEOS Connect system, which includes a big center screen instead of the current double-wide screen setup. That center screen, at least visually, seems like a big step backward form the current system. With a very generic “Tesla clone” design. Apparently, the new screen does include a row of physical buttons under teh screen and is much easier to use.
The current-generation Santa Fe just came out a couple of years ago, and it seems Hyundai is in a bit of a hurry to modify it. Sales in the US have not been fantastic. The previous generation was still selling over 131,000 units in 2023. That number dropped to 113,343 in 2024. And around 92,000 so far in 2025. That obviously means the new generation is not the hit Hyundai was expecting. Maybe changing things that drastically from one generation to the next was too much.
The spy shots above show a completely redesigned front end, as well as new taillights. These will finally be vertical on each side, something it should have been from the beginning. The super low horizontal rear lights on the current design don’t make any sense…
I have to say, I was a bit disappointed when I saw the new Santa Fe a couple of years ago at the Los Angeles auto show. In person, it looked a bit cheap. And the interior wasn’t that impressive. It’s one of these cars that actually looked a bit better and more upscale in photos.
There is also a lot of cheap-looking black plastic trim all over the place. Which doesn’t help…
Let’s hope the revised Santa Fe fixes all of this. So far, Hyundai has been really good at listening to customers.
