2027 Hyundai Tucson Interior Finally Revealed

While we have already seen many spy shots of the next-generation Hyundai Tucson, we had not seen the interior until now. Just like the exterior, the cabin is completely new. And it also seems to borrow a few ideas from the new Hyundai Palisade, another SUV that combines a very angular exterior with a softer and more upscale interior design.
As expected, the new Tucson includes Hyundai’s latest Pleos system with its large center display. However, unlike the setup in the new Ioniq 3, the smaller driver screen appears to be much better integrated into the dashboard itself. The overall dashboard design also looks cleaner and more horizontal than before, giving the cabin a more mature and expensive appearance. From these early photos, material quality also seems improved, with softer surfaces and a more premium look throughout the cabin.
The truth is, Hyundai has become extremely unpredictable when it comes to design. Unlike Kia, which tends to evolve a consistent family look across its lineup, Hyundai gives nearly every model its own identity. Just look at the new Hyundai Palisade, which looks nothing like the previous version and doesn’t even resemble a larger Santa Fe anymore.
Right now, the closest thing we have to a design clue is the new Hyundai Nexo, which Hyundai says previews its future design language. Even then, it’s unlikely the Tucson will copy it directly. Hyundai designers seem determined to avoid making all their SUVs look too similar, which is becoming increasingly rare in the industry.
The current Tucson is a huge success for Hyundai, with over 234,000 units sold last year alone. That’s around 20,000 more than in 2024. It remains one of Hyundai’s most important models in North America and globally. However, some early spy shots suggest the next generation could adopt styling cues closer to the current Santa Fe. A model that, despite all the attention it received online, has not been quite as successful as Hyundai may have hoped. If Hyundai pushes the Tucson too far stylistically, it could risk alienating some loyal buyers who prefer the current model’s sharper and sportier look.
The current Tucson launched in 2020 and received a major facelift in late 2023 for the 2025 model year. Based on Hyundai’s usual timing, an all-new Tucson arriving later this year as a 2027 model makes perfect sense.
One thing is clear: while the internet is already full of wild guesses and unrealistic illustrations, the actual production model will probably end up looking more restrained than expected. And maybe, just maybe, a little more Kia-like than many Hyundai fans would like to admit.
