2011 Buick Regal up close
Last Updated:
I finally got to seat in the new Regal a couple of days ago.
And it’s pretty much what you see in pictures, a well finished, classy and modern car.
I was just a bit disapointed by the lighter tan interior. Which is the “old fashion” tan and brown combo, instead of a classier tan/black used in so many German cars these days.
Everything feels solid, with plenty of soft touch plastics (something lacking in most new cars).
But I have to say, it is not nearly as good inside as the new Lacrosse (More on that later)
I guess it’ll all depend on price.
At $25 000 they should find an audience. But it would be tough at $30 000. And too close to the Lacrosse.
We’ll see…
Are you kidding me? Black/tan is SO boring. Brown/tan is a lot more appealing to me
I really hope they make a coupe version like the Opel GTC Concept. Maybe revive the Riviera name.
I've seen the new LaCrosse, and it's SOOO beautiful. This doesn't look as fashion-forward, but it is an incredibly good looking interior.
Is that a red bulb in the turn signal area?
I hate that in the car world, a light beige/cream is called "tan"…why can't tan be the rich oiled leather color we see in shoes and jackets? You know how beautiful that would be in a lot of cars?

I totally agree! Volvo offered it on their s60R and Saturn had their moroccan tan as well. I don't think there were a lot of takers.
The manufacturers should offer more interior color choices. Grey and beige are boring.
americ a at it s best
German y at it s best…you mean.

Putting a Mercedes IRS design on a Detroit Automobile design with AMERICAN Heritage & History; Chrysler HEMI; Chrysler trans, styling, & performance; makes it AMERICAN. This thing is no more German than it is Japanese (the optional Firestone tires are made by a (once American, but now) JAPANESE; Tire company.
Saw and sat in a LaCrosse at the S.F. Auto show. Nice car, but not quite as attractive as the Regal which is similar–maybe too much so.
I think the Regal is shorter and about the same width, so not much smaller overall. Still, from the photos, I'd say that the Regal is a better looking car.
Too bad the crappy S.F. Auto show didn't have a Regal on display because I think it would have drawn more interest.
