Chevrolet Orlando Concept
Last Updated:
Another one of these concepts that looks pretty much like the upcoming production model.
This will also be shown at the Paris Auto Show. It is based on the new Chevrolet Cruze and has 3 rows of seats.
It will compete in europe with the Ford C-Max. But also with the Opel Zafira.
I really do not get the point of having Chevrolet and Opel in Europe. I know Opel is supposed to move upmarket, but it just seems a little weird to me. Chevrolets aren’t that much cheaper are they?
Anyway, it would be nice if this little crossover ended up over here. Also I really like the HHR and I wouldn’t want this to replace it…
This looks nice. Chevy is definitely making major improvements in their interior designs.
Vince, Chevys are cheap rebadged Daewoos and are among the cheapest cars available, they’re aiming above all at other Koreans and Dacia. Currently they don’t present any threat to Opel, which is competing with VW, France, Italy and Japan.
The whole idea of rebadging Daewoos into Chevys seemed great at the beginning, but now I think it’s a bad idea. I used to see Lanos and Nubira everywhere, but I hardly see any Aveos, Lacettis etc. perhaps it would be a good idea to rename them back into Daewoo.
I think that will be the new HHR. The rumors I’ve read say that the next gen HHR will get 3 row seating and drop the retro look.. This seems to fit the bill..
I’m not a big fan of the grill but over all it looks pretty nice. My only real problem with it is that if it is an HHR replacement, then GM has made a mistake in making it bigger. I can’t see how something like this is going to get the 30mpg that the current HHR is capable of.
Chevy in Europe have taken over from budget brand Daewoo and are much cheaper Opels are also much better quality car.
For example.
Opel Corsa costs €16000
Chevrolet Aveo costs €13000
Yes it hard to fathom what is a true american built chevy anymore. Apart from the volt.
Is this another rebadged daewoo??
