Mazda CX-60 | Engineered for the Love of Driving

Here is a first official look at the new 2023 Mazda XC-60. Just like the larger CX-80, this is not coming to the US. (Were getting larger CX-70 and CX-90 instead)
These 4 new SUVs will share Mazda’s new platform. And will have the option of a brand new inline 6 cylinder engine.
Not sure about our CX-70, but this CX-60 still looks a lot like the good old CX-5 to me. Even though it doesn’t share a platform.
It’s weird that Mazda has been able to make the US CX-50 look quite different from the CX-30 and CX-5, while these are all based on the same platform.
But this truly all-new one looks already a bit old. At least, nothing new.
Just what we saw a while ago in an early spy shot.
Mazda must be spending tons of cash on that platform and the 6 cylinder engine. It needs to pay off. So far, I really hope the new designs will be “better in the flesh”…
We’ll be seeing the whole thing on March 8th. But I’m not sure when we’ll be seeing our CX-70 version. Since the CX-50 is barely out, it might be a while.
They were nice designs… Ten years ago. Getting stale for sure.
I find it funny how Mazda is trying to present themselves as some luxury sports brand when they couldn't be further from that. Low powered vehicles that handle fine… but no power, no speed, no quickness. Interiors are nice, but they should be considering their premium price while not being a luxury car.
Look on the bright side, at least it's not a desing aberration like the new models from BMW
