2025 Acura ADX.

Acura just released a few teasers for the upcoming ADX compact SUV.
The rear end looks a bit like the new ZDX EV. And from what we can see of the interior, it does have seats. You can tell at least one version will be available in white with some blue highlights. And the Bang & Olufsen sound system will the there too.
Here is Acura‘s official word so far:
” The all-new turbocharged 2025 Acura ADX brings dynamic energy to the premium compact SUV segment with its upscale, feature-rich interior, including available features like a panoramic moonroof, ventilated front seats and a powerful Bang & Olufsen audio system, which were teased in new photos released today. Set for a North American debut later this fall, the Acura ADX will build on the success of the Integra as an additional gateway model to the Acura performance lineup.
“The all-new Acura ADX is another exciting model positioned at the gateway of our lineup, attracting a new generation of buyers to the Acura brand,” said Mike Langel, assistant vice president, Acura National Sales. “When our new Acura ADX arrives in dealer showrooms, it will strengthen an exceptional lineup of premium SUVs that already includes the popular RDX, best-selling MDX and all-electric ZDX.”
“Later this fall” sounds a lot like the Los Angeles Auto Show to me. Which would be nice.
The Turbo part seems a bit of a mystery to me since it seems Honda is slowly getting rid of the 1.5 Liter Turbo engine. At least in some cars like the Civic. And probably in the Accord once that model becomes Hybrid only in a few years. It can’t really be the 2.0 Liter Turbo from the previous Accord. Although that is still in use in the RDX. But again, it would make these 2 models too close.
The 1.5 Liter Turbo is fine, however, it is usually paired with a CVT. Which is no bueno since that transmission zaps away most of the engine’s power. While the CVT in the new Civic Hybrid works great.
It will be interesting to see the new ADX. Something that potentially could become the new brand’s best seller.
