2025 Subaru Forester.

Last Updated:

Let’s see how old the new 2025 Subaru Forester really looks.

By comparing it to “old” Subaru concepts. All the photos above show what Subaru let us think the future would be. The oldest one pictured here is the B5-TPH Concept from 2005. (3rd photo). Almost 20 years old and still much more modern (And so much cleaner) than what we have today. The newest one is the bottom photo, the Viziv Future concept from 2015. That’s still almost 10 years old and looks much better than the 2025 Forester.

It’s hard to figure out what’s going on at Subaru. They do have many loyalist followers who keep buying their cars. Of course, the vast majority of car buyers actually don’t really care that much about what their car look like. The friendly outdoorsy image seems to work like a magic spell that seems to make potential buyers forget about the horrific designs and so-so reliability.

  1. A lot of people that buy Subaru’s fall for the commercial saying 90% of all Subarus ever made are still on the road. Nevermind, they mean, no one’s picked up that muffler or trailing arm off the road yet.

  2. They’ve had very bad CVT problems for many years. They extended the warranty for cars from 2010 all the way to 2018. But I’ve also heard of many CVT problems after 2019, which means the issue has not really been fixed. These are very expensive problems to fix after the warranty. As I mentioned before, a friend of mine had a bill for $8000 to replace the CVT right after the 5-year powertrain warranty.

  3. Every new Subaru model started to look like cheap joint venture brands sold in Asian countries with all ugly non-proportional design lines.
