Since the Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup is heavily based on the Hyundai Tucson, it is logical to see the upcoming revised version of the small pick adopt the new Tucson interior for next year. Which is really a shame.
So far, the Tucson and Santa Cruz have shared a great interior. Now, they will probably share the “not so good” one that was just unveiled for the revised 2025 Tucson. It is definitely a step down from what they offer now, which is better than almost all of its competition.
Although the console design on the revised Santa Cruz does look different than the current model and also the new 2025 Tucson. And the dash seems to have a much deeper front tray. This means it will not be exactly the same thing as the Tucson, but probably still not as nice as the current one.
Which is a shame.
What the Santa Cruz truly needs is a cool folding rear seat. And at least one hybrid version. Or even a PHEV, just like the Tucson.
