New Honda EV.

Last Updated:

Honda just released a strange teaser for an upcoming EV.

It seems they will be showing a new model, to at least a concept, at CES in Las Vegas next month.

There are not saying much except this:

” Honda will present the world premiere of its new EV series for global markets as a part of its exhibit at CES 2024, which will be held January 9-12, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. is using the word “Global”, and they are showing it in Las Vegas, which would logically mean the new product would be sold in the US.

I am not sure how far they are willing to go, but the teaser shows some seriously futuristic design. It seems that, once more, car designers are still very influenced by the great Syd Mead. It also looks like Honda is taking car design seriously again. As their current lineup has to be some of the most conservative designs sod in the US.

Right now, Honda’s EV strategy is pretty confusing. With just the Prologue and ZDX in North America, who knows what’s coming next. Europe is only getting the Honda e. And again, who knows what’s next? China is getting tons of new Honda EVs with their own design language like the Honda e:NP2 and many others. Honda is also still working on a new Afeela EV sedan with Sony, for some odd reason.

A simpler global strategy would make more sense and probably save tons of money in the process.

I cannot wait to see this futuristic new EV, even if it’s only a concept. A cool and futuristic design from Honda is something to celebrate.
