Toyota bZ3X.
Last Updated:
Toyota introduced another nice-looking new EV today, the new bZ3X.
It looks like a cross between an SUV and a tall wagon. It seems like a much more modern version of the Toyota Corolla Cross. As an EV.
The interior design is also very simple and clean. Which is very refreshing. The whole thing looks like it is much more mature than most Toyota SUV designs we have over here like the RAV-4 or Corolla Cross. Or pretty much anything else Toyota sells in North America except for the Prius. Again, this is so far a Chinese market-only model.
It is getting quite amazing to see how many new car and SUV models from every car maker in the world are now exclusive to the Chinese market. It seems the situation is moving very fast and was quite different just a few years ago.
Finally! They finally did an EV that looks decent.
Toyota is not capable of building EVs without technologies borrowed from Guangzhou Automobile Group of China (GAC). The bZ3X more Chinese than Japanese. This is why it cannot be sold in the US.
I can see this being more popular in US as Prime variant more than EV.
If it isn’t a 5 ton monstrosity, it won’t sell over here. EPA put strict fuel efficiency requirements on cars, but close to 75%of vehicles sold are trucks and SUVs. Is it a loophole or “unintended” oversight?
