Future Cadillac Escalade.
Last Updated:
The current generation Cadillac Escalade came out in 2020. It is about to get some important revisions for the 2025 model year, with a redesigned front and a new interior. The current excellent interior will be replaced by one that looks very similar to the one in the new Cadillac Escalade IQ EV.
Which is really too bad. I am not a fan of these huge ” across the dashboard” screens that are currently so popular in Chinese cars. I prefer the interior design of the current Escalade, which is really one of the best around.
While the Cadillac Escalade IQ isn’t really replacing the regular Escalade, Cadillac keeps introducing new EVs. In a couple of years, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon will be redesigned, but Cadillac had mentioned a few years ago that all their new models would be EVs. Which can of course change if necessary. Cadillac would have to decide early if there will be another generation ICE Escalade or not. I guess that also depends on the success of the new Escalade IQ.
While the Escalade technically starts at $ 82,000, most sell for well over $ 100,000. The Escalade IQ will start at $ 130,000 when it is available later this year. Being a unibody construction based on the Ultium platform, it will also be much more comfortable than the truck-based current Escalade.
I personally think the IQ will probably end up replacing the Escalade. The current generation Escalade could be the last ICE version, at least this is probably what GM has planned.
If not, the illustrations above show 2 ideas of what a next-generation ICE Escalade could look like. It would, as usual, be heavily based on the next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon.
They need an ICE Escalade. Some people still want to go on road trips in luxury without have to wait an hour for each charge. They can sell it along with the EVs. Cadillac needs to realize that an all EV brand right now isn’t the best idea looking at the current market.
I have had a new Escalade every 3-4 years since they first came out in 1999. I traded in a 2020? I bought new for a new 2023 Escalade.
What a disappointment. First the suv sits higher and is wider and longer than my previous 6 Escalades.
First, It is much harder for my wife to get into annd out of because of the increased height and the passenger side assist grab is no longer provided. Second, the instrument panel is a nightmare because you can’t show the key instruments together in one place at the same time. Instead you have to go through a digital library, Third, this model has eliminated quality metal parts, like the grill, which is now made from easily damaged plastic.
My wife has a 2023 Jeep Grajd Cherokee L which has more “luxury standards” like automatic vehicle lowering upon entering or exiting lthe vehcle, than my “?? luxury ??” ‘23 Escalade that was listed at over $105,000 versus her $68,000
Cadillac Escalade is a great excellent awesome outstanding magnificent Truck based on the Yukon & the Tahoe which to me personally makes them the best made Trucks in the World GM has really stepped up their game to compete with the best ever made Trucks in the World which includes Rolls Royce Bentley Mercedes Benz BMW Lamborghini Uris and Audi & Porsche. Cadillac America wants the CT6 with the 6.2 Liter Engine V8 Engine HO V BLACKWING SERIESES the Escala. I do appreciate Cadillac keeping the Luxury Sedan DeVille around & the tease of a look a like Cadillac Eldorodo
My opinion to GM not everyone wants a Ev, especially since they’re not long range. I believe they should have a hybrid model and a gas and EV’s of certain models. That makes more since then all electric.
