The Chinese version of the VW Taos is getting a refresh for the new year.
The most obvious change is up front, where things now look a bit more like the new European VW Tiguan. With a much smaller upper grille design. This is quite an improvement, but also makes the eTaos look quite generic. Even more than before.
Some of these changes could be coming to the US since the Taos and Chinese VW Tharu are very closely related.
Even though I’ve only seen a couple of these where I live, VW managed to sell almost 59000 of them in the US last year. Which is pretty good for a small SUV that seems to be mostly under the radar…
That’s horrible. I’m not sure who they have designing VWs now but they need to be fired.
