2025/26 Hyundai Palisade.
Last Updated:
These photos show a couple of prototypes of the new 2025 Hyundai Palisade parked next to a couple of Toyota Grand Highlanders.
I know the angle could make things confusing, but the new Palisade does look quite a bit smaller than the new Grand Highlander.
The current Hyundai Palisade is about 197 inches long. Or about 5 inches shorter than the new Toyota Grand Highlander. The Toyota is also about an inch taller than the Palisade.
At least in these photos, the Toyota seems quite a bit taller and generally much larger. I really don’t think the new Hyundai Palisade will be any smaller than the current model. I would guess Hyundai will even try to make it a bit roomier. However, since it will probably be based on a revised version of the same platform dimensions would be quite similar rot the current one. Unless we are talking about an all-new platform for the next generation.
The weird wing on top of the rear window of the Palisade prototype is probably a leftover part from the older camouflage. The black plastic that used to cover these prototypes until just a few days ago. The big plastic add-on under the tarp is an easy way to make the rear end look very different and more upright than what it actually is.
After owning a Palisade since 2020, I’m not sure it even needs to be roomier. One thing the Palisade does well is interior/space/packaging. Especially for the size of the exterior. Much better in this regard than the Mazda CX-90.
