These are just a few more photos of the next-generation Cadillac XT5 SUV.
Its interior is a vast improvement over the current model and is getting a lot of inspiration from the Cadillac Lyriq EV.
We’re not sure when the current XT5 will stop production in the US, but the new generation pictured above is so far a Chinese market-only model. The Lyriq is already selling more than the XT5 over here and GM is probably not intending to bring a new XT5 to this country any time soon. Especially since after all rebates available are included, the Lyriq is about the same price as this new XT5 would be.
This new XT5 would also face even more competition from the new Cadillac Optiq which is even more affordable. And probably about as roomy as the XT5. And of course, much more powerful, quiet, and smooth than the 2.0 Kiter turbo, which is the only powertrain available in the redesigned XT5…
