2025 Cadillac XT5 pricing.
Last Updated:
Cadillac finally redesigned the XT5 a few weeks ago. And now we do have official pricing for the new SUV.
So far, this is a Chinese market-only new Cadillac, and the XT5 is the same as before in the US and Canada.
The official pricing ranges from $56,500 for the “luxury” trim to $64,000 for the top-of-the-line “Platinum” model. While not cheap at all, this compares to the current model’s base price in the US of $44,300. While going up to over $59,000 for the “Sport AWD V6 trim”. (You can still order the smooth 3.6 Liter V6 in North America for an additional $1000).
However, like it i the custom in China, the XT5 is available for preorder at a lower price. From $39,500 to around $ 48,000. To get that price, local customers have only until September 30th to order the car.
Outside of the preorder, these seem pretty high prices for the new XT5 in China. I am not sure what it would compare to or how much the current model was. But the cheapest RWD Lyriq starts at under $43,000 over there. While in the US the XT5 is still about $14,000 more than the base Lyriq. However, that is before all the incentives available on the EV. Which would for most people bring the price much closer to the XT5.
So far this year, Cadillac sold over 13,000 units of the Lyriq EV in the US. And around 12,000 units of the aging XT5. It seems the Lyriq is quickly overtaking the XT5 in North America as it became the brand’s second best-selling model behind the Escalade.
We’ve seen the new Chinese XT5 before, and while it does look that much more modern than the current generation, it still seems like a very conservative redesign. Not something that will look very modern in just a few years.
Except for the new interior, which actually looks a lot like the Lyriq anyway…
