Spy shots of a totally uncovered 2027 Nissan Versa.

These are the very first photos I have seen of the revised Nissan Sentra sedan for the 2027 model year.

There were earlier rumors about Nissan ditching their smallest and cheapest sedan in the US. It is known as the Sunny in other markets. The Versa name is used in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The photo above clearly shows the name Versa, which means the small sedan might keep going in the US. Or at least in Canada or Mexico. However, there were reports that the Versa ended production back in September. Which would make sense since the Nissan website only mentions a 2025 Versa. Sales are also pretty good with a 45% jump from last year in the third quarter of 2025.

The car in these images is not an all-new design but a refresh. Like most pure ICE cars are these days. This obviously has a newly redesigned front and rear ends. And maybe some changes to the interior, who knows.

Let’s just hope Nissan skips a year and brings the Versa back for 2027. A 45% increase in sales proves there is a market for inexpensive cars. The base Versa currently starts at around $17,500. The well-equipped SR is still under $21,500.

For many people, it seems the Versa is all they need…

  1. It seems like a mistake to get rid of the Versa in the US, with the direction the economy is headed. Its last refresh made it a much better option for people just needing basic small inexpensive transportation. This latest update looks even better. If the Sentra’s recent transformation is any indication, the Versa’s facelift will be a successful update.

  2. It’s definitely not a US spec. Look at how it’s missing the amber lights on the sides in the front. A legal requirement in the US.

  3. Front looks great. It’s too bad they couldn’t have made the taillights more modern to fit with the new front.
