Could this new minivan become the next 2028 Chrysler Pacifica?

This new minivan is from the Chinese manufacturer Leap Motor. The D99 is related to the previously released D19 SUV, pictured in the last 2 images.
The most interesting part is that, since 2023, Stellantis owns 20% of the Chinese brand. LeapMotor started selling cars in Europe in 2024, with the help of Stellantis. Now we hear that a future compact SUV from Opel will be based on the LeapMotor B10. The Chinese brand is already considering manufacturing cars in Spain.
New photos of their latest model, the D99, have surfaced in China. The D99 is obviously related to the D19 SUV. The D19 is offered as a pure EV with a large 115kWh battery pack, good for a 450-mile range in the Chinese test cycle. A new EREV version will also be offered using a 1.5 Liter engine as a generator. With a massive 80.3 kWh battery that could allow up to 310 miles of EV range. Which is quite amazing.
As we all know, Chrysler needs something, anything. We have recently seen spy shots of prototypes of a revised Pacifica with a brand new face driving around. It probably will also come with a redesigned rear end and new intertior. However, the Chrysler Minivan is now 10 years old, and I’m afraid a facelift might not be enough…
Until a couple of years ago, the official plan was a revised version of the current model, followed by an all-new one based on the STLA platform. That new model was, of course, scheduled to be an EV only. Obviously, these plans had to be revised, and Chrysler has been working on other powertrains for the STLA minivan. Which might make the old one more irrelevant than ever. Even with a new face…
It seems Stellantis could just adapt and rename this new D99 for the North American market. I’m just saying.. It seems ready to go…
It wouldn’t be the first time, either. Since back in the 1970s and 1980s, Chrysler was importing many Mitsubishi models that were not sold in the US.
