2025 Jeep Wagoneer S.

Jeep has released its first official teaser for the all-new 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S EV. We saw it in late 2022 as a concept, and it looked really great back then. It seems the production model shown in the teaser looks exactly the same, except for the “Wagoneer” name on the hood, which, for some reason, has been removed for production.
The new Wagoneer S is based on the new STLA EV platform, like most upcoming Stelantis models. It will offer standard AWD and power up to 600HP with 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds for the 600HP model. (which is quite ridiculous IMO…) These are similar specs to what Stelantis was mentioning in 2022.
The new Wagoneer S will be available in the fall as a 2025 model. Soon after, an equally new Jeep Recon EV will come out, and probably also look exactly the same as the concept we saw in 2022.

As usual, everything could depend on pricing. The Wagoneer S is a 5-seater SUV about the size of a Grand Cherokee. Although you can get a base Grand Cherokee for around $ 37,000, the popular (19% of total Grand Cherokee sales) 4xe model starts at a crazy $ 60,500. I really don’t think it will be that hard for Jeep to price the Wagoneer S around the same price. Which will be quite a bit cheaper after available incentives.
Jeep was aiming for a 400-mile range for the Wagoneer S in 2022. Even with reality setting in, a 300/350-mile range would be more than enough to make the new Wagoneer S a big hit for the brand. However, Stelantis has not announced the switch to Tesla’s NACS charging system (at least I haven’t heard it). This would be terrible news and would immediately put all their incoming EVs behind all of their competition.
How are they going to call it a WagoneerS if it’s the size of a Grand Cherokee? Does the S stand for small?
So basically just an electric Land Rover Evoque?!? They have a Grand Cherokee 4xe and now this? The regular Waggoner’s aren’t event selling. Who can afford these things???
It looks good, like what a futuristic Jeep should look like. But this is going to be another $100k EV if it supposedly has anywhere near 400 miles of range. How many buyers are there really for such a vehicle? Seems as though every automaker is fighting for a small segment of the population willing to throw nearly 6-figures on a car. Car makers are going to get hit hard when they realize just how tiny the number of people who are willing to do that really are.
They are 2 years too late to the party for high margin EVs with gobs of power and 6-figure price tag.
