Cadillac Sports sedan.

While I previously posted a possible Cadillac Sports Coupe illustration, this is a sedan version with a similar angular design language. Something that I think still works well for Cadillac, long after the XLR.
As mentioned earlier, Cadillac has been dreaming of coming up with a sportier car for decades. They seem to have developed a taste for sportier cars a few years ago in order to chase Mercedes and BMW which I think is a mistake. You can now order about any Cadillac model in 2 separate “Sport” trims, on top of one, or even sometimes two sportier “V Series” models. Even for the Escalade.
No matter what, Cadillac has not been able to change its century-old image from “Luxury” to “Sport”. It would be like the Disney Company trying out gore movies under the Disney brand.
I think the V Series models are great and there is a place for them. But the Cadillac name still means luxury in most people’s minds. However, everyone wants to chase the Porsche Taycan these days. And the profit margin that comes with it. Polestar is almost ready to finally show us their Polestar 5 sports sedan. And even good old Alpine is working on a Taycan competitor. It seems GM is pushing Cadillac in this direction, again with the recent “Opulent Velocity” concept.
A 4 door production version of the concept would of course have to be toned down a lot for production, and probably offer 4 door and a sedan body style. Just like the Taycan.
With the Ultium EV platform, it seems easier to produce faster cars. Most of them are faster than anyone should be driving. I guess this could be great news for the V Series future. With these super fast cars being as quiet as a Cadillac should be…
