Kia EV4 wagon.
Last Updated:
We saw the Kia EV4 Sedan concept last year. it did look a lot like a hatchback to me but I guess it wasn’t. Since then Kia has been testing a wagon-style hatchback version with its own design.
These illustrations show what the EV4 wagon might look like. And they are very close to the many spy shots he has already seen of the new model.
I guess the sedan will have a regular tiny trunk opening, just like the new Kia K4. The K4 will also be available with a hatchback alongside the more conventional sedan design.
There is something in the proportions that makes the car in the illustration a bit thick-looking. It could end up looking like this, but I haven’t seen this in the spy shots of the car we’ve seen so far.
No matter what, this is gearing up to be another production Kia design that will look very close to its earlier concept. A wonderful trend that seems to have started with the Kia EV9. After many years of great-looking concepts that had nothing to do with their production models.
Production of the new Kia EV4 is scheduled to start in Korea in March 2025. The model sold in the US could be produced in Mexico, qualifying it for US Federal Incentives. Kia is expecting Korean production of the EV4 sedan to reach 70,000 annually.
I guess the hatchback model would be introduced a bit later. And might not even make it to North America. However, the K4 hatchback is scheduled for US sales so, who really knows…
Yikes. I guess the real question is how much larger is it than the EV3. This makes the K4 hatch look REALLY good.
