2026 Toyota Harrier.
Last Updated:
The Toyota Harrier was sold in the US for a few years as the 2nd generation Venza. And it’s about to be redesigned in Japan.
While the Venza was replaced in North America by the new Toyota Crown Signia wagon, it is still on sale in other countries. (It is interesting to mention that the very first generation harrier was sold over here as the first generation Lexus RX). The new model is supposed to be using Toyota‘s new Hybrid system with the new 1.5 Liter Turbo engine instead of the classic larger 2.4 Liter currently used in so many models from Toyota and Lexus these days.
A PHEV as well as an EV version are rumored to be planned.
Apparently, Toyota will use the same 1.5 Liter System in the next generation 2026 RAV4 as well s the Crown.
The new Harrier is also rumored to be much more stylish than the current generation. Probably morphing into some kind of “coupe SUV” shape to stand out more against the next RAV4. That does make sense.
It seems that the 1.5 Liter engine will be used in tons of new Toyota models pretty soon. It will be interesting to see which ones will be getting the new 2.0 Liter-based hybrid system. I guess it could be a more powerful option or just used on larger models like Toyota trucks.
We’ll see…
