What was supposed to be a new Audi A7, is now back to being the new generation A6. Since Audi just decided to change, again, the naming of their cars. I guess this new A6 got in right on time for the new name. Same as the old…
After the new Audi A5 which replaces the old A4, we have this new A6 which replaces the old A6. On the EV front, the A6 e-tron is all-new. This new Audi A6 front looks positively ghastly. Compared to the current model (grey car), the new A6 looks overdone in so many bad ways. I guess the trim pictured here is the S- Line which is of course more aggressive, but this is just bad.
The new Audi A6 e-tron Avant and A5 Avant look 10 times better than this. And so does the “old” A6.
Inside, it looks exactly the same as all the new Audis we’ve seen recently. The A5, the A6 e-Tron, and the Q6 e-tron. They’re all the same.
Of course, other trims might look better. Or at least, not as bad. Their front-end design could be a bit cleaner too. But probably not by much.
This is a regular ICE model with hybrid trims probably available in Europe. And again, probably not over here. Last year, Audi A6 sales in the US were just around 6500 units. Both the Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 series are much more popular.
This is not a good trend…
