These are just a few new photos of the Abarth version of the new Fiat 600e that came out last year.
While I really like the Fiat 600e design, I think the Abarth version is pretty ghastly looking. Not only have they just added ‘sporty looking” plastic bits all over the car, but these new items just don’t fit the 600e design at all. That rear bumper design is just out of this world appalling.
The cute little 600e is full of curves. While all the added plastic crap looks like it was designed with a ruler. Forcing harsh straight lines onto a curvy shape always looks bad. It reminds me of the lower bumper of the current Porsche 911. Again, squared-off black plastic that doesn’t belong to the overall curvy 911 design.
Designers went even further with the 600e Abarth. Which is just a bit sad.
On the other hand, I think the interior does a good job of looking sportier than the regular model. Nothing seems overdone inside. Either way, it doesn’t really matter to us over here since no versions of the Fiat 600e are scheduled to make it to the North American market…
The Body kit is a Throwback to the original Abarths.
