2025 Ford Maverick.

The Ford Maverick is getting a few changes as part of a mid-cycle facelift for the 2025 model year.
I think the new face looks great. And congratulations to Ford for resisting the urge to make it look like a small Ford F-150, which could have been a disaster. It still looks really good and different enough to look new.
Inside, of course, the 2025 Maverick gets a larger screen. But also a new console and a slightly revised dashboard. Which doesn’t actually look that much better to me. Especially the super simple control on the base model which looks pretty cheap. It might have been OK a few years ago when the basic Maverick was priced at around $20,000, but it now starts at over $26,000 before destination charges. However, I have to admit it does look cleaner and more modern the more I look at it…
The big news is the availability of AWD with the Hybrid powertrain.. AWD is available on the base Hybrid and is standard with the powerful 2.0 Liter Turbo.
The Ford Maverick has been quite popular with over 94,000 units sold last year. And over 90,000 of them have already been sold this year. I am sure the availability of AWD with the Hybrid powertrain will boost these numbers by quite a bit.
Similar changes are expected to arrive soon in the Ford Bronco Sport. While the small Bronco looks great, its interior could really use some kind of an upgrade…
Horrible interior….too much plastic…..very cheap looking
the infotainment looks great now… how big it is and everything it controls. The full digital cockpit looks great… I wish Ford would come up with a better design and look to its Steering wheels, it just rubs me the wrong way for some reason… too bland…
As for the interior… I do agree with Sam… it does look very plasticky… little to toy for me, and shows for sure it is made in Mexico… nothing against that per se, but ya… not attractive in retrospect.
they moved the HVAC controls to the screen and simplified the center console… not sure if that’s a positive step for the driver, I liked buttons and knobs for the AC, these can be used by touch only without taking your eyes off the road.
good move on the bigger screen and getting rid of that cubby next to the small screen. not sure how useful it really was
and excellent move on making the hybrid AWD as well. the Maverick would make a great truck for someone who really needs something like this for light duty.. no need for a monster-sized F150 and its cost…
