2026 Cadillac Vistiq.

Last Updated:

We saw earlier photos of the new Cadillac Vistiq EV SUV a while ago. And today we are getting more pieces of the puzzle.

It will start at $79,000. This means it will go right against newcomers like the Volvo EX90 ($80,000) and the Lucid Gravity ($80,000). The Volvo has been getting mixed reviews so far. It seems many of its hi-tech features aren’t available yet and it was described as “not ready yet”.

The Gravity is still a bit of a mystery. However, it already has fantastic specs and looks much more modern than the Cadillac. But you’re also buying a car from a very small start-up company.

The Vistiq looks fine but not great. It tries very hard to look like the larger and more expensive Cadillac Escalade EV. This might actually work for people who want to pretend they own an Escalade for less. otherwise, this doesn’t look very modern. The worst part is the graphics on the rear side windows. Something Cadillac also uses on the smaller Optiq. It just looks ridiculous, unnecessary and feels like it’s from someone running out of ideas.

Inside, I applaud Cadillac for not using the stupid door-to-door giant screen set up from the Escalade IQ. This is more like other Cadillac models and it looks great. Especially the “non-Sport” trims with the fantastic-looking wood finish.

This new Vistiq will probably end up replacing the old XT6 in Cadilalc’s lineup. It’s almost $20,000 more. Or about $10,000 if you factor in all incentives available. But the Vistiq is roomier, more powerful, and just 100 times better than the old XT6. So far it only comes with AWD and 615HP. It has “at least” 300 miles of range.

GM has done quite a fantastic job with Cadillac lately. As they now offer a full lineup of excellent EVs. Unfortunately, these are all SUVs.

However, I am eagerly waiting for the 2 new EV sedans that have been rumored for the past year.

  1. Exterior looks sharp and interior looks luxe, but wish they didn’t use the touchscreen HVAC from the QX80. Also charging speed is SLOW and range is only 300 miles (would be a miracle if they can hit this since the Vistiq looks heavier than the Lyriq).

Ultium platform limitations- basically it’s a 3-row Lyriq.

  2. I love this, but if the Lyriq still has CarPlay, I’m choosing the Lyriq 100% of the time.

Cadillac… C’mon. It’s one thing if Chevy wants to make us slum it and not use carplay, but…On Cadillac?
