Chevrolet Camaro Crossover.

Here is another blasphemous idea: a 4-door Chevrolet Camaro Crossover.
The rumor of more new models using the Camaro name has been around for a while. Pretty much at the same time GM was considering other sub-brands using the “Corvette” and “Escalade” names. Obviously none of these have come to life. At least not yet.
Since Chevrolet canceled the Camaro coupe and convertible last year, it seems GM has been trying to find ideas to bring it back. The most obvious one would be a classic Camaro coupe based on the Ultium platform. We even saw a silhouette of a 2 door coupe car as part of the Ultium launch a few years ago. But again, nothing.
Recently, GM president Mark Reuss mentioned a possible Camaro return. By saying “I think that formula of beauty, and a little bit of functionality and fun, all of that is important. If we were getting back into Camaro, that piece of it is really important.” Apparently, a few months ago, a Camaro project was not given the green light.
A Chevrolet Camaro with more than 2 doors and based on the Ultium platform would obviously compete against the Ford Mustang Mach-E. A car that was called blasphemous by many Murtang fans. And described as “not a real Mustang”. However, it is now much more popular than the “real” Mustang coupe and convertible. The Mach-E is still scheduled for a redesign for the 2027 model year, starting production in June 2026. (Unless it has been pushed back). The new generation will also include a “coupe”. Which will probably be an SUV Coupe-style vehicle, like what Audi is doing with their Q4 and Q6 EVs.
A 4-door Camaro wouldn’t have to be a pure SUV since Chevrolet already has the Blazer EV. But something a bit lower and sportier looking. Something more like a wagon, like the one pictured in the illustration above.
I say, why not…

By the way, this has been caught recently and sent to me by a reader. No one seems to know what it is.
I wonder if Chevrolet is actually testing something new….
